This stretchable Parafilm from Pechiney is used for sealing liquid-filled protection caps to the electrode body.
For this purpose only small stripes of parafilm are required: approximately 15 x 60 mm.
We therefore supply small quantities of Parafilm, quantities which are usually not available from the normal laboratory consumable suppliers.
While wrapping the parafilm it should be stretched to about 3 times its length. The limit of stretching can be felt clearly.

Thermistors are highly non-linear, PRTs are slightly non-linear.
100 Ohm PRTs are suitable only for short cable length, or need cable resistance compensation with 3- or 4-wire circuits.
1000 Ohm PRTs can be used with cables up to 5 m length.

All EAI Temperature sensors have a 145 mm long stainless steel tube with 3.5 mm diameter, which is also available with an ETFE coating, to provide a high degree of chemical resistance.
The sensor head is 40 mm long and has 12 mm diameter.
All sensors come with a 1 m or 5 m long cable and a 3.5 mm Mono-Audio Connector.

| Reference Isolating Adapter |

Combination Electrodes connect the measuring system to the central main wire of a co-axial cable and the reference system to the screen/shield of the co-axial cable. The cable ends usually in a BNC plug.
If multiple combination electrode which measure in one vessel and are connected to one instrument with a common ground, then the reference systems work parallel, which can lead to electrical problems.
The Reference Isolating Adapter allows disconnecting the reference system of an electrode. Connect the Reference Isolating Adapter to the input, where the ground should not be connected to the reference system of the electrode and connect the electrode to the adapter. The adapter makes only the central main wire connection, the screen/shield connection is broken/isolated.
Please be aware that in this case the calibration of the electrode where the reference system is de-activated must be done while the electrode where the reference system is active is also immersed into the calibrating solution.

To prepare the Buffer Standard, empty the contents of the pHydrion pH Buffer Capsule into 100ml de-ionized or distilled water.
When stored at room temperature, in clean airtight bottles, prepared solutions will last for three weeks.
